Re-Find Wellbeing Programme

This programme can be delivered in bite-size chunks to organizations that support parents. It can be tailored to your specific needs and can be run over 2 hours as a one-off session or weekly depending on your requirements.

It has been developed using my experience gained through years of working in the Community Voluntary sector of NI and supporting friends and family members with poor mental health. I also tap into my expertise of parenting my particular children in my particular family with my particular partner.

It takes a look at Wellbeing, Relationships, and Personal Development in parenthood. The sessions tend to be organic and fluid but generally cover topics such as the mental load, the losing of one’s identity and how to re-find it, the hormonal and brain changes that happen in early parenthood and can affect the co-parenting relationship dynamic, sleep hygiene and how diet can affect mood, signs and symptoms of postpartum depression and anxiety and where to get support, recognizing and managing postpartum anger, exploring feelings around going back to work, and communication within relationships.

Each session will have a theme and can include chatting, writing, drawing, crafting. The options are limitless and will be directed by the group of parents attending.
